by Firefox user 13598109, 9 years agoI loved this extension on chrome and used to use it all the time. However, on Firefox, this thing absolutely shreds my CPU. When loading a new page or toggling the dark-mode on, it will spike to ~80% CPU usage for several seconds, and cause my entire browser to hang (note that this is on a 5th gen i7). I don't care for extensions that abuse my CPU power. This extension never used to be like this, but I've had to stop using it.

posted 9 years agoOne of the reasons is that Firefox could use built-in video card instead of discrete. Anyway, more productive but less smart looking approach was released (More -> Static Theme). It will be improved in future, but you can try it now.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Sander, 20 days agoI stand corrected for me previous review: one website that was giving me the biggest of troubles was attempting to do its own dark-mode, saw this app working: and both doubled down and looped in itself, creating weird artifacts that (Well, I think I was seeing the matrix..).
Whitelisted the site, reset the website to use its own darkmode, and everything works great again.
One point I bring back from my previous 3-star review: "this extension is my go-to plugin for every system I use Firefox on". Really, I value a good dark filter over ad-blockers. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 20080011, 21 days ago

Thanks for letting us people with conditions and no money suffer more now than we do already, very nice of you!!
