Advanced Download Manager ADM for Firefox

Right-click, and the download goes to ADM, a download manager for Windows that is free to use. ADM fetches files over several connections at once, keeps a queue you can pause and resume, and captures videos from streaming pages. This add-on is the Firefox half of ADM: it adds two items to the right-click menu and hands whatever you pick to the ADM desktop app.

WHEN FIREFOX'S DOWNLOADS PANEL ISN'T ENOUGH
Firefox saves a file over a single connection and cannot take the video from most streaming pages. For big files, long lists of links or media, pass the job to ADM:
• "Download with ADM" on any link, image, video or audio file sends it straight to the desktop app
• "Download Video with ADM" on a video page sends the page itself, and the app captures the video
• The app downloads each file in several segments at once, so large files finish sooner
• Queue, pause, resume and a tidy history of everything you have downloaded
• ADM also notices download links you copy and offers to grab them

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
The add-on talks only to the ADM app on your own computer, through Firefox's native messaging. Beyond the link you right-click, it has no access to the pages you browse, keeps no history and never contacts a server. It asks for just two permissions: the right-click menu, and the connection to the desktop app.
